Relight · Sengled bulb help

Is my Sengled bulb Wi-Fi, Zigbee or Bluetooth? Read the model code

From Tomorrowish, the makers of Relight, an independent iPhone app for Sengled Wi-Fi bulbs. Every fix on this page works without it. Checked November 2, 2026.

Every fix for a Sengled bulb depends on what kind it is, and the bulb tells you. Look at the label on its base, just above the screw thread, for "M/N" or "Model". Sengled's help center put it simply: "The model number will start with an E, B, W, or Z," and it sent E and Z codes to its Zigbee help page.

Code starts withKindWhat it needs now
WWi-FiYour 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Works from the wall switch; local control on your network (Home Assistant, an iPhone app)
E or ZZigbeeA Zigbee hub: an Echo with a built-in hub, SmartThings, Hubitat or Home Assistant with a Zigbee radio
BBluetooth MeshAn Echo, which Sengled's guide used to add them

Sengled Wi-Fi model codes

Sengled's own Wi-Fi troubleshooting page listed W11-N11, W21-N11, W11-N1150, W21-N13 and W11-N13. Owners in the SengledTools project also run W31-N15, W31-N11, W21-U23, W12-N15 (a colour bulb) and W1E-NC1 candelabra bulbs, and its reset guide covers Sengled Wi-Fi light strips, TV light strips, bar lights, string lights and plugs. If yours starts with W but isn't in these lists, it is still a Wi-Fi model; the first letter is what matters.

Bulbs Relight can't help

Relight only talks to Wi-Fi (W) bulbs. Zigbee and Bluetooth bulbs never join your Wi-Fi, so no iPhone app can reach them over it; move Zigbee ones to a Zigbee hub instead. Better to know that before you download anything.

Questions

How do I know if my Sengled bulb is Wi-Fi?

The model code on its base starts with W, for example W21-N13 or W11-N13.

What does a model code starting with E mean on a Sengled bulb?

It is a Zigbee bulb. It needs a Zigbee hub, such as an Echo with a built-in Zigbee hub, SmartThings or Hubitat.

Is the Sengled W21-N13 Wi-Fi or Zigbee?

Wi-Fi. Sengled's own Wi-Fi troubleshooting page lists the W21-N13.

Do Sengled Zigbee bulbs need the Sengled hub?

No. Any compatible Zigbee hub works, including an Echo with a built-in Zigbee hub.

An app for this: Relight

Relight works with Sengled Wi-Fi bulbs and strips, the ones whose code starts with W. It has a short guide to reading the label and a demo with pretend bulbs, so you can check before you rely on it.

It works only with Sengled Wi-Fi bulbs and strips (code starting with W), only while your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi, and it doesn't connect to Alexa or Google Home.

Relight is an iPhone app from Tomorrowish. It needs no account and has no cloud: commands go from your iPhone straight to the bulbs on your Wi-Fi. Full control of 2 lights is free; Relight Pro is a one-time $3.99 for every light, scenes, Siri and Shortcuts, and a Home Screen widget. No subscription.
