Phomemo labels printing off-center, cut off or the wrong size

From Tomorrowish, the makers of Paperpaw, an independent app for these printers. Every fix on this page works without it. Checked November 2, 2026.

When a label printer prints half on one label and half on the next, or cuts off the edge, the printer and the app disagree about the paper. Phomemo's FAQ for its label printers comes down to four checks.

1. Set the exact label size in the app

The size in the app must match the roll. The size is printed on the packaging; if not, measure a label with a ruler. Phomemo's own example: if the label is 40 × 30 mm, choose a 40 × 30 mm template.

2. Pick the right paper type

Labels with gaps between them, labels with a black mark on the back, and continuous rolls are handled differently. Choose the matching paper type (gap, black mark or continuous) in the template settings.

3. Seat the roll properly

Phomemo's M110 and M120 want the roll installed toward the right side, with both stoppers fastened and the arrows on the holder plates pointing up. Pull the paper out past the opening before closing the lid.

4. Clean the sensor

The printer finds each label with a small sensor near the roller. Dust or glue confuses it. Wipe it with an alcohol cotton pad. If the app still says the label paper is wrong, Print Master has a reset in its error prompt; Phomemo describes it in the "Paper Detection Failure" part of its FAQ.

Which widths each printer takes

Buying labels from another brand? Measure one with a ruler before choosing a size, as Phomemo suggests, and check which number is the width (across the roll) and which is the length.

Questions

Why are my Phomemo labels printing across two labels?

The label size or paper type in the app doesn't match the roll. Set the exact size printed on the package (or measure it) and choose gap, black mark or continuous paper to match.

How do I fix Phomemo M110 labels printing off-center?

Set the right label size, reseat the roll toward the right side with both stoppers fastened and the arrows up, and clean the label sensor with an alcohol pad.

What label widths does the Phomemo M110 take?

Phomemo lists labels from 20 to 50 mm wide for the M110.

Can the M02 Pro print on narrow paper?

Phomemo sells 53, 25 and 15 mm rolls for it. The app needs to be set to the narrow width or part of the print falls off the paper.

If you'd rather skip the app trouble: Paperpaw

On the M110, M120 and M220, Paperpaw lets you pick the label size (40 × 30, 50 × 30, 40 × 20, 30 × 20, 50 × 50 or 40 × 60 mm) and shows the label at its true shape before printing. To be clear about the limits: on the M02 family it prints on the standard 53 mm roll only for now; 15 and 25 mm rolls aren't supported yet.

Paperpaw needs no account and shows no ads. It works with the Phomemo M02, M02S, M02 Pro and T02, and the M110, M120 and M220 label printers. Printing photos, labels, notes and lists is free; Paperpaw Pro is a one-time $4.99, no subscription.
