Unsay Privacy Policy
What we collect
Nothing. Unsay has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking SDKs. We don't collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
What stays on your device
Unsay is a write-only journal. The text you write is held in memory while you're writing it. When you release an entry:
- If your lock duration is Immediate (the default), the text is discarded right away. Only the release timestamp and word count are saved to the on-device history.
- If you have an Unsay+ cooling-off window (1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days), the text is encrypted on-device with a one-time key in the iOS Keychain, scheduled to be wiped after the window. You still cannot read it back during the wait — the app has no UI to do so.
All of this stays on your iPhone and never leaves it. If you delete the app, everything is removed with it.
Permissions Unsay requests
- Face ID — optional, only requested if you turn on Unsay+ app lock. Used on-device to unlock the writing screen.
Unsay does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, notifications, or any other permission.
Network requests
Unsay makes no network requests on its own. It does not have a server, does not phone home, and does not include any third-party SDKs.
In-app purchases
The Unsay+ one-time purchase is processed by Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles billing — Unsay never sees your payment information.
No analytics, no ads, no tracking
Unsay does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There is no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy is ever updated, the date at the top of the page will change.
