TallyTen Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

The short version: TallyTen collects no data. Your clients, projects, rates, notes and time entries are stored on your device. There is no TallyTen server, no account and nothing sent to us.

Your records

Everything you enter stays in TallyTen's own storage on your iPhone or iPad. You can edit or delete any record in the app, and deleting the app deletes them. Your device backups (iCloud or computer) may include them, depending on your settings. TallyTen has no cloud sync of its own.

Exports, PDFs and backups

CSV exports, PDF timesheets and invoices, and JSON backups are made on your device and go only where you send them (Files, Mail, Messages, another app). From then on, that app or service's privacy terms apply. Restoring a backup replaces your records only after you confirm.

Widgets, Live Activity and Siri

With TallyTen Pro, the running timer and today's total are shared with TallyTen's own widgets and Live Activity through your device's keychain, so they can show on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Siri and Shortcuts requests ("Start TallyTen", "What's left to invoice") are handled by the app on your device. None of this leaves your device through TallyTen.

Purchases

The optional "TallyTen Pro" purchase is processed by Apple. TallyTen only learns whether your Apple Account (or your Family Sharing group) owns Pro; it never sees your payment details, name, address or Apple ID.

Ratings

Now and then, after you've used it for a while, the app may show Apple's standard "rate this app" prompt. Apple handles it; we receive no personal data from it.

More apps

More → More apps lists two of our other apps. Tapping one opens Apple's own App Store page inside TallyTen; Apple loads it, and may tell us only as an anonymous count that an install started from TallyTen. We get nothing about you.

What TallyTen doesn't do

Children

TallyTen is made for working adults, not for children. We collect no data, so there's nothing to handle differently for users under 13.

Changes

If this policy materially changes, the date at the top of the page will update and we'll note it in the app's What's New on the next release.
