CrispTrace Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

The short version: CrispTrace collects no data. Pictures you open are traced entirely on your device and are never uploaded. There is no CrispTrace server, no account and nothing sent to us.

Your pictures

CrispTrace keeps the picture you're working on, its crop, removed shapes and your settings on your device, so it's still there next time. Closing the picture in the app deletes it, and deleting the app deletes everything. Your iPhone or iPad backups may include it, depending on your settings.

Camera and Photos

The camera is used only when you choose to photograph or scan a drawing. Photos you pick from your library are read only to trace them. Nothing is saved to your library unless you save an exported file yourself.

Exported files

SVG and DXF files go only where you send them (Files, AirDrop, another app). CrispTrace keeps temporary copies for a minute so a share can finish, then deletes them.

Purchases

The optional "CrispTrace Pro" purchase is processed by Apple. CrispTrace only learns whether your Apple Account owns Pro; it never sees your payment details, name, address or Apple ID.

Ratings

Now and then, after you've exported a few files, the app may show Apple's standard "rate this app" prompt. Apple handles it; we receive no personal data from it.

What CrispTrace doesn't do

Children

CrispTrace is rated 4+ but is not specifically designed for children. We collect no data, so there's nothing to handle differently for users under 13.

Changes

If this policy materially changes, the date at the top of the page will update and we'll note it in the app's What's New on the next release.
